Internationales Klangkunstfest / International Sound Art Festival Berlin

TRACKS/TRACES
>To track down - To cover up one's tracks - To lay a track - To feel traces of<
International Sound Art Festival Berlin 2011 intends to investigate different implications of the topic TRACKS/TRACES and to explore old and contemporary works as well as to initiate new works which follow artistic traces of multiple influences of former or outer cultures. The concert hall functions as exhibition space at the same time. Here public can see scores, sketches or graphics related to the music pieces presented on stage. The concerts will be taped digitally - and the recordings will be presented in the exhibition in accordance to their visual parts each the day after.
The festival will be opened an September 23. 2011 at 8.p.m. by Kerstin Sittner-Hinz (Director of Mitte Museum), the introduction lecture will be given by Dr. Ulrike Liedtke (Director Musikakademie Rheinsberg) . The other festival dates are Sun Sept.25th,2011 (Soundwalk), Wed Sept.28th, 2011 (Concert 2), Sat Oct. 1st, 2011 (Concert 3), Thu Oct. 13th, 2011 (Symposium) and Sat Oct. 15th, 2011 (Final Concert).
